Composition
Each 1ml contains:
- Oxytetracycline - 300 mg
INDICATIONS
- Indicated for arthritis, gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by oxytetracycline sensitive microorganisms, like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
- Do not use in known cases of hypersensitivity to oxytetracycline.
SIDE EFFECT AND CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Oxytetracycline injection is not intended for cats, dogs and horses. It should not be given to animals in late pregnancy, animals with severe damages of liver and kidneys and to animals oversensitive to Oxytetracycline. Sometimes a temporary swelling on the injection site occurs.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
- Local stimulation. Intramuscular injections can cause pain, inflammation, and necrosis at the injection site. Long-term use can cause double infection and liver damage. Affects tooth and bone development. Tetracycline drugs enter the body and bind to calcium, which deposits in teeth and bones.
PRECAUTION:
- It should not be given to animals in late pregnancy, animals with severe damages of liver and kidneys.
DOSAGE:
- For intramuscular administration. Cattle, sheep, goat, and camel: 1 mL per 20-30 Kg of body weight and can be repeated after 48 hours if required.
