INDICATIONS
- Treatment of topical infections caused by, or associated with, organisms sensitive to oxytetracycline hydrochloride and gentian violet in all species except fibre-producing animals. Treatment of cuts and wounds.
Mode of action
- Oxytetracycline hydrochloride is a very stable bacteriostatic broad spectrum antibiotic that interferes with the protein synthesis of Gram-ve and Gram+ve bacteria, Rickettsia, Chlamydia, some species of Mycoplasma and protozoa. This action is not appreciably affected by blood and tissue breakdown products. Gentian violet is an antiseptic and antifungal dye acting predominantly against Gram+ve bacteria by interfering with the micro-organism’s cell wall. This ingredient is also useful to identify the areas treated.
Directions for use
- Shake before use. Remove any dead tissue, dried serum or secretions and debrisfrom infection site. Hold pump pack upright approximately 8-15cm from the surface and spray for 2-3 seconds to cover affected areas completely once or twice daily for 3-5 days. Each separate pump spray will cover an area of 6cm in diameter.

- Cattle, Sheep, Horse.
Contraindications
- Do not use in fibre-producing animals as this product is NOT scourable. This product is toxic to aquatic organisms.
